Description: Students will have an opportunity to discover what the Hydrovia project is, how it relates to or can affect the Pantanal region of Brazil, and discuss the pro's and con's of this project in a debate format.

Title: Cowboy Math in the Pantanal
Description: Students will use unit multipliers to convert one unit to another, using metric/English unites, foreign exchange currencies, and ratios of various units. They will read information in context and understand the process of writing an equivalent mathematical equation or phrase from the given information.
